During her 35 years as a field hockey player, Anders twice earned a spot on the U.S. women's Olympic field hockey team and is the current Olympic Games scoring record holder. She was also inducted into the United States Field Hockey Association Hall of Fame in 1989. Anders has coached and taught field hockey for 24 years. She is currently the head field hockey coach at Old Dominion University.
